This answer choice is grammatically incorrect. If and Unless cannot be followed by Future (will).
What helps us identify this question as a Conditionals question as well as identify this mistake is the following Stop Sign: If / Unless

Although grammatically correct, this answer changes the meaning of the original sentence as a result of the omission of replacing will with can. Will be saved expresses a future occurrence while can be saved expresses only a possibility of such an occurrence.

Option (A) in my opinion.
I see no errors in the original sentence the way it is.
Maybe I would have liked it more if there was a singular "attitude" instead of "attitudes" but since all the options have it, who am I to blame.
Option A uses if/then conditional perfectly. Whereas Option B and C don't.
Option C omits the word "cultural" for no reason.
Option D reverses the order. Original sentence says- Scientists have claimed that X will happen if Y hapepens. This option says- Scientists have claimed that if Y happens, X can happen. It turns the certainty to chance which the original sentence tries to convey. Try to stick to the original meaning as 90% of the time it is what the maker of the question wants to instill.
