A) studies, much prized by collectors, have
'who' is singular subject does not agree with verb have. Eliminate.

B) studies, much prized by collectors, has
Subject verb agreement is correct. Much is also correct usage here. Keep

C) studies, many of them prized by collectors, have
'who' is singular subject does not agree with verb have. Also studies is countable noun and much is not correct. Eliminate.

D) studies, many of which are prized by collectors,
This misses linking verb 'has' but been is used. Eliminate

E) studies, and many of them prized by collectors, has
Many vs much. Here we need to ask how prized the studies is ?. The modifier is describing it as, much prized. Many is something we can count( How many?). Can you count the feeling of something prized or precious? No. Eliminate

So B is the best answer choice.

Just who inspired English painter John Constable’s marvelously enigmatic cloud studies, much prized by collectors, have never been entirely clear.

A) studies, much prized by collectors, have - The Subject is singular Who inspired... Plural Have is incorrect.

B) studies, much prized by collectors, has - Fixes the issue in A and Much prized By Collectors is modifying .. cloud studies.

C) studies, many of them prized by collectors, have -- Firstly, Them is a personal pronoun what is it refering to ? there is no logical antecedent , secondly Have is again a S-V issue.

D) studies, many of which are prized by collectors, -- This option has no main verb if you remove the modifier you wouldnt know when did the action take place.

E) studies, and many of them prized by collectors, has -- Not Parallel and again we have "Them" ..
