Hello,
I read all the comments and I need a clarification here.
Parker said, "I try to keep it more culturally relevant with the traditional art."
This is in Direct speech. In Direct speech we quote the words said by the person.
For example:
He said, "I will leave for the market in another 10 minutes".
This means he was going to leave for the market in another ten minutes after he said the above statement.
The indirect speech for this is : He said that he would leave for the market in another 10 minutes.
Since the question uses direct speech with 'Parker said', it is actually talking about past. Indirect speech will be :
Parker said that he tried to keep it more culturally relevant with the traditional art.
If we need to talk about present in Direct speech, we will say : Parker says, "I try...".
Now the part "Asked about how he is programming the art classes..." should be in past tense, because this is explaining something which was done in the past.
Could you please explain where my analysis is wrong?
Thanks,
Ankit
