A has SV issue - believe should be believes because of a group of politicians
In B - 'politicians believes as consumers' sounds weird
C is awkward and D has no main sentence.
So Answer - E

Usage of "as" is to provide a role to politicians and not provide any comparison. But then the usage will literally imply that "politicians can believe when they become consumers" and this makes the meaning illogical and the whole clause to be awkward.

S-V error because "who" is modifying "a group", which is singular but the verb "believe" is plural.
