IMO A is concise.

Quote:
In his laws of motion, which now form the core of classical mechanics, Isaac Newton clearly and concisely introduced three important physical ideas: the concept of inertia, the relationship between force and acceleration, and the coupled nature of forces.
[a]three important physical ideas: the concept of inertia, the relationship between force and acceleration, and the coupled nature of forces
[b]three important physical ideas; the concept of inertia, the relationship between force and acceleration, and that forces were coupled in nature
[c] three important physical ideas; the concept of inertia, force and acceleration were related, and the coupled nature of forces
[d] three important physical ideas, the concept of inertia, the relationship between force and acceleration, and he also introduced the coupled nature of forces
[e] three important ideas that were physical in nature: the concept of inertia, the relationship between force and acceleration, and the coupled nature of forces. ideas - physical in nature?

@ saikarthikreddy,
physical ideas can be the ideas related to physics( could be because he was a great physicists) or ideas that were physical in nature...
IMO A is correct
physical(adjective) is correctly modifying ideas..

Colon is necessary to provide information for ideas (:) - b, c & D out
E must describe items/things in the nature (closed word to the colon) and not the ideas.

--> A

[a]three important physical ideas: the concept of inertia, the relationship between force and acceleration, and the coupled nature of forces......................A is concise and correct.
[b]three important physical ideas; the concept of inertia, the relationship between force and acceleration, and that forces were coupled in nature...................parallelism is flawed.
[c] three important physical ideas; the concept of inertia, force and acceleration were related, and the coupled nature of forces
...................parallelism is flawed.
[d] three important physical ideas, the concept of inertia, the relationship between force and acceleration, and he also introduced the coupled nature of forces
...................parallelism is flawed.
[e] three important ideas that were physical in nature: the concept of inertia, the relationship between force and acceleration, and the coupled nature of forces.
Parallelism issue as in other choices is resolved but wordy compared to A.

Experts I have question, what if the option E would have been " three important ideas that are physical in nature". which option to chose then between A and E?

We'd still prefer option A.

Firstly, physical ideas is shorter than ideas that are physical, and secondly (and perhaps more importantly), ideas that are physical is most likely unidiomatic. That is, it is just not acceptable in the language (no specific reason other than that it is not used).

Thank you so much. I was sceptical about the use of " Physical Ideas" . Because it creates a confusion what a Physical idea is ,what does that physical refers to
