Choices B, C and D can be rejected easily.
Between A and E, Why is E the correct answer as 'A' shows that something else other than Gargantron is responsible for Timmy's troubles.
In weakens questions, outside information can be valid.
Whereas in E, it shows that timmy watches another show. The negative effects of that show are added with the some negative effects of "Gargantron". Each alone doesn't reaches the negative threshold level but when combined, timmy gets sleepless nights. Thus, Gargantron is responsible up to a certain extent.
Please clarify my theory.

Timmy's 11-year-old friend Alex watches Gargantron regularly and has no difficulty sleeping after the show. --> Here, it may happen that the side effects of the show could be to some children and not to all. So, What Timmy is suffering from due to the program may not necessarily be the case with his friend. So, A is incorrect.
E. On Friday nights Timmy's parents allow him to watch their favorite show, "Cop World," a crime drama intended for adults. --> Now, Timmy is is watching not one but two programs. The conclusion has been made the cartoon program is causing that problem. What about the other program when we know that it is a criminal program meant for adults. So, it may be the case that crime program is causing the problem. Hence, a Great Weakner.
