In order to comprehend how prehistoric human societies were organized and how interactions between people took place at that time, scientists are studying modern societies in specific contexts (such as troops during Vietnam War, hippie communities in the 70’s and religious brotherhoods). A flaw pointed in this approach is that though they are still talking of humans, evolution has made comparisons rather meaningless.
Which of the following, if true, would most weaken the criticism made above of the scientists’ strategy?

(A) Human specimens from ancient times have been proved to show several important instinctive behaviors similar to modern people.
Shows similarity between the prehistoric and the mordern society and theryby questioning the claims made by the critics.thus this choice is weakening the criticism.
(B) Prehistorical societies are separated from modern ones by 30 thousand years of human evolution.
This choice widens the gap between the prehistoric society and the mordern society therofr supports the criticism .
(C) Theories of prehistorical societies have recently undergone a radical paradigm change.
Theories of prehisoric societies have undergone radical changes means that what was assumed to be true is not incorrect and thus the studies comparing the prehistoric and the mordern societies are irrelevant now,so this choice strengthens the criticism.
(D) The study of societies is a much consolidated discipline.
no impact.
(E) Many sociologists nowadays do not study prehistorical societies to establish comparisons with modern societies.
no impact

Option A is the correct choice since it properly bridges the gap between the prehistoric societies and the modern societies.
