Since the operations director is recommending the quality assurance program as a way to eliminate the complaints, it is reasonable to infer that the company using that program has a higher rate of customer satisfaction than The Hanks Manufacturing Company. The other answer choices could very well be true and are, by and large, reasonable, but they can’t be inferred from the information in the passage.

There are complaints from customers, which means customers are not satisfied; director has decided to adopt a program which has a high customer satisfaction rate. There is an obvious conclusion that the other program (WINK) has a higher customer satisfaction rate than that of WWWidget.. E makes sense.
A - author doesn't talk about 'products breaking'.. quality complaints doesn't necessarily mean products are breaking.
B - author doesn't say anything about timeline of this line of products.
C - nothing from the passage.
D - on first glance this might seem a valid inference, but complaints from customers don't necessarily mean that profit is in danger.
E should be the answer
A - author doesn't talk about 'products breaking'.. quality complaints doesn't necessarily mean products are breaking.
