We have to check for an answer that connects the introduction of the new copy protection with a boost in sales.
(A) Ditalgame bas spent millioos of dollars developing the new copy protection feature, and the company can recoup these costs only if its sales increase substantially. This doesn't give any information about how the company plans to increase its sales
(B) Over the last several years, the market for computer games has grown steadily, but Ditalgame's share of that market has shrunk considerably. We can't be sure that the reduced number of sales is a result of people illegaly copying the games. Hence, it can't be the correct answer.

This answer provides a connection between the illegal copies and a expected increase in sales. Lets say DC has managed to stop piracy. Conclusion: their sales will substantially increase. Sales. not profit.
