This is another good basic question to getting started in method of reasoning questions.
Matre d': We need to replace the point of sale terminals our servers use to place orders with the kitchen. The existing units are too complicated and slow service to our customers. New terminals would speed order delivery by 18 percent.
This says Matre d' wants new terminal
Restaurant Manager: No, we should keep the existing terminals. We can give our staff more training in the existing terminals. A new system would be too expensive.
This says Manager is not up for Matre d' idea . We should ask why . Manager explains we can train the employees to be more productive, that is, employees should use less time, besides manager says the cost is too high for new terminal.
Matre d': That won't work. The staff has already been well trained in our current system and their speed has not increased any.
This counters manager's argument by saying that employees have already been well trained and that has not worked. Likely the terminal is slow of hanging or some other reason. So using existing systems wont work. This is Matre d' conclusion.
