Inez: In these poor economic times, people want to be sure they are getting good value for their money. I predict people would be more willing to buy antiques at our fair if we first have the objects inspected by professional appraisers who would remove any objects of questionable authenticity.
Anika: I disagree with your prediction. Our customers already are antiques experts. Furthermore, hiring professional appraisers would push up our costs considerably, thus forcing us to raise the prices on all antiques.
Stimulus: Inez states poor economic times people would want to confirm the authenticity of antiques so we should display our products in the fair so that experts can confirm the authenticity.
Anika’s response was that buyers of antique are already experts on antiques. the cost of having experts examine our products will further push the prices of the antiques up
