But the stimulus never states that the athletes who have decided to become coaches were among those athletes who won gold medals. They could be among those athletes who won gold, or could be among those who won other medals (silver or bronze), or could be among those who did not win any medals at all.

Whereas E is completely supported by the last sentence of the passage.

Moreover isn't E including all the athletes that competed in the Olympics whereas in the premise it is saying several of the athletes so there could still be some that would compete next year as well?
