IMO only option B is based on assumption.

"People marry people they love" can't be an extreme option, as people can be consider as anyone...does't mean couples only

B is the only answer that makes the needed connection between marriage and love. But technically, it's written a little sloppily. It should really read "People love people they are married to." The author isn't assuming we marry everyone we love (for instance, I did not marry my parents!), not is it assuming that John loved Jane before they married. It is only assuming that if you are married to someone, you love that person.

(By the way, Bunuel, it looks like the explanation you posted is to a different John/Jane question.)
