what justifies as the overall conclusion as even in this one paragraph many storylines are being followed so overall. I got the answer C but i believe this to be a flawed question

It's an official LSAT question. Chances are too slim for it to be flawed.
I also found bit confusing, chose E. But, I hope some expert can explain better.
