Text says:
  • Some say - galaxy will be colonized.
  • A necessary condition for the above event- trillions of humans will be alive then.
  • A High odds condition for the above event- that we will be present then.
  • But since when we are present colonisation of galaxy is not happening, there is low prob that galaxy will be colonized.

A- Author’s reasoning is- because a highly probable condition during an event has not occurred, the event will probably not occur.

B- We have 1 hypothesis. 2 following premises. And the author rejects the hypothesis based on 2nd premise not occuring. No premise is contradicted here.

C- This says that the author is assuming that future predictions cannot be made based on present fact. But it’s exact opposite. Author is making predictions based on a present fact.

D- Yes. Hypothesis: Colonization of galaxy. Likely event: us being alive then. Author concludes that galaxy colonisation will not happen because a likely event, i.e us being alive during this hypothesis, has not occurred.

E- Nothing is mentioned about any “established human tendencies”.
