Answer = D. 750p

1 pallet has 250 phones, so p pallets hold "250p" phones

1 crate has 250p phones, so 3 will have 250p * 3 = 750p

A certain phone manufacturer ships its products in crates. A crate consists of p pallets, and each pallet holds 250 phones. If the manufacturer ships 3 crates, how many phones are shipped?

A. 750
B. 250p/3
C. 250p
D. 750p
E. 750p/3

Kudos for a correct solution.

since c/p=1 3 crates yield 3 pellets. Since p/phones=1/250 then total phones are 750.

Answer A.

Hi gmat6nplus1,

I'm curious if you answered this question 'on the pad' or 'in your head'....Where'd the variable "P" go?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Since, 1 crates contains 250p phones
3 crates will contain 750p phones.

OA = D

VERITAS PREP OFFICIAL SOLUTION

Solution: D.

Each pallet is equal to 250 phones. With p pallets in a crate, each crate holds 250 * p phones. 3 crates are being shipped, so the total number of phones is 250p3, or 750p phones. Choice D is correct.
