Hi,
what is the INFO from the Q above?
In 4 minutes, the cyclist gains 100m on the person walking..
so lets see how much does the man travel in 4 minutes at 3km/h= \(\frac{3000}{60} *4\)= 200 m
if man has travelled 200 m, then the cyclist travels=200+100=300m
so his speed = 300/4*60/1000=4.5 km/hr
ans C
Editing the OA as speed given is that of man walking and not Cyclist..

The answer should be C
As the man cover the distance of 200 meter in 4 minute + he can see the cycle for 100 meter.
so the cycle travel 300 meter in 4 minute
in 60 minute cover the total distance of 4.5 KM
so the speed is 4.5KM/HR.
