Their combined rate is 30 + 20 = 50 miles per hour, thus together they'll cover 120 miles in (time) = (distance)/(rate) = 120/50 = 2.4 hours = 2 hours and 24 minutes.
6 a.m. + 2 hours and 24 minutes = 8:24 a.m.
Answer: C.

Hi,
the Q should be 600-700 level...
Distance = 120.....
since the two are moving towards each other, combine the speed = 20+30 = 50
time 120/50 = 12/5= 2.4 or 2 hr and .4*60 = 24 minutes..
ans 6 +2 :24 = 8:24
