Given

Height of the taller person = H

Height of the smaller person = L

The difference in the height = Average of the height

\(H - L\)= \(\frac{(H + L)}{2}\)

\(2H - 2L\)= \(H + L\)

\(H = 3L\)

\(\frac{H}{L}\)= 3

The correct answer is D
