Subsequent = 0.55*0.6=0.33
Price of 1 full film=0.55+0.33*35=12.1
Price of 4 full film = 12.1*4=48.4
52.58-48.4=4.18
4.18=0.55+0.33x
x=11
52.58--->4 full films and 1+11=12 photos

Shortcut:
Price of 1 full film is 12.1 so we cannot have 5 full films as 12.1*5=60.5 and we need 52.58. Only option A seems valid.

First photo = $0.55.
Additional photo (40% less which means 60% of0.55) = \(\frac{60}{100}\)*0.55 = $0.33.
1 full film has 36 photos which means: 1 + 35 additional photos.
Cost of 1 full film = 1(0.55) + 35 (0.33) = 0.55+11.55 = $ 12.10.
Total expense: $52.58.
Just looking at the integer value of $12.10 and $ 52.58, we are sure that we will get 4 full films. ( For 5 full films = 12*5 = 60 but expense is $52.58)
4 full film cost = 4 * 12.10 = 48.4.
Remaining cost : 52.58 - 48.40 = 4.18.
This $ 4.18 cost is the cost of the first photo + cost of additional photos (number of additional photos * 0.33).
4.18 = 0.55 + cost of additional photos (number of additional photos * 0.33) .
4.18 - 0.55 = number of additional photos * 0.33
Therefore, number of additional photos = \(\frac{3.63 }{ 0.33}\) = 11.
