in 1hr both will eat = 5/3 + 3/4 sandwiches
= 29/12 sandwitches
thus in 24 hr (1 day ) both can eat = 29*24/12 = 58 sandwitches

Ans is A

As in 1 hour Sam eat 5/3 and David 3/4.
So total in 1 hour are 29/12.
So in 1 day it is (29/12)*24 = 58

Solution-
Number of Sandwiches Sam can eat in a day= 5* 8=40( Since it is given can Sam can eat 5 sandwiches in 3 hours)
Number of Sandwiches David can eat in a day= 3*6=18( Since it is given can David can eat 3 sandwiches in 4 hours)

Total number of Sandwiches both of them can eat in day = 40 + 18= 58

no of sandwich sam eats in a day = 5/3*24 = 40
no of sandwich dravid eats in a day = 3/4*24 = 18
total sandwich eaten in a day = 58

one day=24hrs

Sam consumes 40 sandwiches
David consumes 18 sandwiches

Total =58

24/3 = 8 x 5 = 40

24/4 = 6 x 3 = 18

=40 + 18 = 58 which is answer A
