First 3 minutes = 50 cents
After that, every 5 minutes until 15 minutes = 20 cents
After that, per minute = 2 cents
Jack's call = 50 minutes = (3 + 15 + 32) minutes
Cost = [50 + 3(20) + 32(2)] cents = 50 + 60 + 64 = 174 cents = $1.74
Therefore, answer is D.

5+5+5 mins= +20¢ +20¢ +20¢= +60¢
