How much was the down payment per person: \(\frac{Down.Payment}{x}\);
\(Total.Cost=Down.Payment+Remaining\), and \(Total.Cost=600\), \(Remaining=27*x\); so, \(Down.Payment=600-27x\)
And per person down payment is: \(\frac{Down.Payment}{x}=\frac{(600-27x)}{x}\)
(C) is the answer.
