total cookies bought = 30
cc cookie = 2 i.e 2x18 = 36$
om cookie = 1 1x12 = 12
total = 48
avg = 48/30 = 1.6

Since the proportion of chocolate chip cookies to oatmeal raisin cookies is 3:2,
we can calculate the average price for a cookie to be \(\frac{3*2 + 2*1.5}{5} = \frac{5 + 3}{5} = $1.6\)(Option D)
P.S This concept of bringing down the numbers to proportions can be really useful
when the numbers are bigger!
