We are given:
- • The width of the rectangular patio= 18 feet
Let us assume that the length of the rectangular patio is ‘\(l\) feet’ and width is ‘\(w\) feet’.
- • Thus,\(l: w = 3.5: 2\)
• \(\frac{l}{18}=\frac{3.5}{2}\)
• \(l=9*3.5= 31.5\)
• Since the digit after the decimal point is \(5\), we will round the units digit of \(31.5\) to the successive integer.
• Hence, the integer closest to \(31.5\) is \(32\).
Answer: D
