If \(x = 6\), the median is \(12.5\).
If\(x = 7, 8, 9,\) or \(10\), the median is \(12\).

Since \(12.5\) is not shown on the table, the answer is \(6\).

Therefore, the answer is A.

Scores: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14

Frequency: 5 + 6 + x + 8 + 9 = 28 + x

The median score shouldn't be the same as the displayed score. This is only possible when we have frequency total = even. Options B and D are eliminated.

Now median in the current situation is: first 11 number cancels last 11 numbers.

Left out numbers are 12 [ x times] and 13 [ 6 times]

To find now the median we need 6 [12's] such that 4(12's) and 4(13's) cancel out each other and in the end, we are left with 12 and 13.

Then the median will be 12.5

Answer A
