To find:
- • The value of y in the given figure
Approach and Working:
From the bigger triangle, we can write
- • 25° + 45° + (x° + x°) = 180°
Or, 2x° = 180° - 70°
Or, x° = 55°
Now, from the bottom triangle (where y° is an angle), we can write
- • 25° + x° + y° = 180°
Or, y° = 180° - (25° + 55°)
Or, y° = 180° - 80°
Or, y° = 100°
Hence, the correct answer is option D.

\(x + x + 25 +45=180\)
\(2x=110\)
\(x=55\)
(2) Find \(y\) from left small triangle. \(x=55\)
\(y + 25 +55=180\)
\(y+80=180\)
