Total = only Caps + only Gloves + both + Neither.

25 = 6 + 2 + 16 + Neither

Neither = 25 - 24 = 1

Total = 25

6 players took their caps but not their gloves ( only caps) =6

we know 22 players took their caps. Thus both is 16.

Only gloves = 18 - 16 = 2.

Neither = 25 - 6 + 2 + 16 = 1

It means that out of 25 players 24 players took either gloves or caps or both. 1 player didn't take any of them.

The best answer is A.
