Sally has already taken 4 exams. she is going to sit for another one. So, total 5 exams.
she wants to keep an average of 90 in 5 exams.
Total score in 5 exams = 5* 90 = 450.
Total in 4 exams = 78 + 92 + 83 + 99 = 352
Difference = 450 - 352 = 98.
B is the correct answer.

lets the marks be x
by given condition,
(352+x)/5 = 90 ( new average)
which gives x= 98
