10 children and 10 adults

6 people left at 12 , and 5 children are present after 12

it means 5 children and 1 adult (5+1=6) left at 12

so adults present at park after 12 is 10-1 = 9

Total: 20 people [Chidlren : 10 so Adults: 20 - 10 = 10]

6 people left on or before 12 o'clock: People left = 20 - 6 = 14

=> 5 children are present in picnic after 12 o'clock: Adults present = 14 - 5 = 9

In this question, we are given that
    • Of 20 people in picnic, 10 are children and rests are adults
    • 6 people left on or before 12 o'clock and 5 children are present in picnic after 12 o'clock

To find
We need to determine
    • The number of adults present in the picnic

Approach and Working out
Out of 20 people in the picnic, 10 are children, and hence, the remaining 10 are adults
6 people left on or before 12 o'clock
    • Hence, number of people present after 12 o’clock = 20 – 6 = 14

Out of the people present after 12 o’clock, 5 were children
    • Therefore, the number of adults present in the picnic = 14 – 5 = 9

Thus, option D is the correct answer.
