When 20 people planned to rent the boat:
Cost per person = \(\frac{x}{20}\)
When 12 people planned to rent the boat:
Cost per person = \(\frac{x}{12}\)
The difference in the cost per person = \(\frac{x}{12}\) - \(\frac{x}{20}\) = \(\frac{5x}{60}\) - \(\frac{3x}{60}\) = \(\frac{2x}{60}\) = \(\frac{x}{30}\)
So the answer is E
