If no one in a group of friends has more than $75, what is the smallest number of people who could be in the group if the group purchases a flat-screen TV that costs $1,100?

A. 12
B. 13
C. 14
D. 15
E. 16

Max possible per person 75 assuming all have 75$ persons required = 1100/75=14.something = 15 persons IMO D

Number of people in the group will be least if each of them contributed the maximum allowed = 75$

—> 1100 = 75*14 + 50*1
—> Smallest number = 15

IMO Option D

Pls Hit kudos if you like the solution
