total time for 350 people 350/50 * 3 ; 21 hours

IMO, 24 hrs. Option E
First trip the ship goes with 50 but returns empty.
Second trip it takes 2nd batch of 50 and returns with the First batch...
Seventh trip it takes the 7th batch of 50 and returns with the 6th batch.
To fetch the 7th batch, it has to take one more trip
So total 8 trips, 3 hrs each = 24 hrs.
