Erika obtained remainders 3, 2 and 5 respectively after she divided a number successively by 4, 5 and 8. What will be the remainder if she divided 160 by same number?

Ofcourse, this is NOT GMAT, but CAT..
We will start backwards..
1) say, quotient is q, when divided by 8 and the remainder is 5... 8q+5
2) Now this number is the quotient when number is divided by 5 and leaves a remainder 2.........so, the number becomes 5(8q+5)+2
3) Now, the last step --this number is the quotient when number is divided by 4 and leaves a remainder 3.........so, the number becomes 4(5(8q+5)+2)+3 = 20(8q+5)+8+3=160q+100+8+3=160q+111..
When we divide 160q+111 by 160, the remainder will be 111

Let x be the number in question.
Then we can write the following equations:
x=4m+3 ......(1)
m=5n+2 ......(2)
n=8y+5 .......(3)
Hence x = 4(5(8y+5)+2) + 3
x = 4(40y+27) + 3 =160y + 111
Hence x/160 = y Remainder 111
The answer must be C in my view.
