Train A Travelling at 63Km/h
Speed of Train A per second: 17.5m/s
Length of Train B: 500m
Let "A" be the length of train A
Let x be the speed of train B

If coming from opp. direction
D = speed x time
A + 500 = (17.5 + x) * 27

If coming from same direction
A + 500 = (17.5 - x) * 162 (Subtracting Speed of train A from Train B as it can be inferred that train A is faster)

Equating both equations
(17.5 + x) * 27 = (17.5 - x) * 162
Dividing both side by 27

17.5 + x = (17.5 - x) * 6
17.5 + x = 105 - 6x
7x = 87.5
x = 12.5

Use value of x in above equations
A + 500 = (17.5 + 12.5) * 27
A + 500 = 30 * 27
A = 810 - 500
A = 310

Answer. Option D 310m
