The question is asking for an approximate answer. Also the choices are not very close to each other.

Again..the answer choices are in absolute numbers. So instead of converting Unit D in percentage, its better to convert unit B in a number

Approximate unit B as 40% (the answer will be slightly more than this). 40% of 140000 is 56000. Add 15500 to it. The answer will be slightly more than 71500.. so Option D

Total Area = 140,000
Unit A = 28% of total
=> 28% of 140,000
=> 39200 -----------(1)

Unit B = 42% of total
=> 42% of 140,000
=> 58,800

Unit D = 15,500

The combined unit Area of B and D = 58,800+15,500
=> 74300

The Closest Approximate is D
answer is D
