The question says that the ice cream vendor Crosses Sudha's home in every 15 minutes, 1 hour 12 minutes or 7.5 hours,
so if we take 2 PM as base
next crossing time will be 2:15 PM, 3:12 PM or 9:30 PM
and among all answers, only 9:30 is given as option,
so answer is E

Poor quality question, IMO. not the kind you'd see on GMAT. I guess, the answer is 9.30 because that's the only option that matches any of the given time interval. but there are other options as well, after 2 PM, the first time the truck crosses her house is 2.15 (1/4 of an hour is 15 min) also, I'm not sure if now I have to take the first hour 2:00 as my initial point or calculate the next visit form 2.15?

if I'm using 2 Pm to check for 6/5th of hour, then the answer is 3.12 PM. completely different answer if we check from 2:15 PM. regardless, the only match is when taking 2 Pm as initial hour and calculating 15/2 hours (7 hours and 30 mins) = 9.30 PM

An ice-cream truck crossed Sudha’s house every 1/4 hours, 6/5 hours and 15/2 hours. If the ice-cream truck crossed Sudha’s house at 2:00 pm, at what time would it next cross her house?

(A) 2:30 pm

(B) 3:30 pm

(C) 5:30 pm

(D) 7:30 pm

(E) 9:30 pm

need help

Here word next is most important. Because all 5 will be the answer if next is not there.
