\(12*x = 30*48\)

So, \(x = 120\)

Thus, perimeter of A is \(2 ( 120 + 12 ) = 264\), Answer is (D)

Rectangle A measures 12 m wide by x m long and has an area equal to the area of Rectangle B, which measures 30 m wide by 48 m long. What is the perimeter of Rectangle A?

A. 120 m

B. 156 m

C. 248 m

D. 264 m

E. 1440 m

Area of rectangle : l*b
Area(a)=Area(b)

12*x=48*30
x=120

Now, perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)= 2(120+12) = 264m

Rectangle A measures 12 m wide by x m long and has an area equal to the area of Rectangle B, which measures 30 m wide by 48 m long. What is the perimeter of Rectangle A?

Rectangle A = 12m wide and x m long
Area of A = 12x

Rectangle B = 30m wide and 48m long
Area of B = 30*48 = 1440

Area of A = Area of B
1440 = 12x
x = 120

Length of rectangle A = 120
So perimeter = 2w+2l = 2(12)+2(120) = 264

Ans D
