A straight answer tells us that reducing by 15 results in a decrease of 10%, so 10%=15 or 100%=150.
Algebraic
Let the number be x, so 35% is \(\frac{35x}{100}\).
\(\frac{35x}{100}-15=\frac{25x}{100}\)
\(\frac{35x}{100}-\frac{25x}{100}=15\)
\(\frac{10x}{100}=15\)
\(x=150\)
