Solution

Given:
    • The unit digit in the product (459∗46∗28?∗484) is 2.

To find:
    • The digit in place of ?

Approach and Working:
Let the digit to be found be a.
The unit digit of the entire product = The unit digit of 9 × 6 × a × 4 =2.
    • The unit digit of 54 × a × 4 = 2
    • The unit digit of 16 × a = 2
    • The unit digit of 6a = 2.
      o Thus, a = 2 or 7 as 6 × 2 = 12 (unit digit of 2), and 6 × 7 = 42 (unit digit of 2).

Hence the correct answer is Option C.
