The average of a, b and c is b => \(b<\frac{a}{3}\)
\(b-\frac{a}{3}<0……….\frac{3b-a}{3}<0\)
So, \(3b-a<0……….2b+b-a<0………2b+2<0………2b<-2………..b<-1………..a+2<-1………..a<-3\)
Thus, a is negative.
OR
Average =b=a+2
\(a+2<\frac{a}{3}\)
\(a+2-\frac{a}{3}<0……….\frac{2a}{3}+2<0\)
\(2a<-2*3………a<-3\)

=> 3a +6 < a
=> 2a< -6
=> a<-3
