Considering 12 and 24 as 2 sides of the triangle, it is in x, 2x and root(3)x. So, the 3 sides are:
x=12 ----> base
2x= 24 ----> hypotenuse
root(3)x = 12*root(3) ----> height

Area of the triangle = 0.5 * base * height = 0.5 * 12 * 12*root(3) = 0.5*144* 1.73 = 124.56
which is not an option.

Please let me know where I am going wrong.

Why are you taking 24 as hypotenuse?
12 and 24 are sides, so the hypotenuse is \(\sqrt{12^2+24^2}=12\sqrt{5}\)

\(12-24-12\sqrt{5}\) is a larger triangle than \(12-12\sqrt{3}-24\)
