The equation 2y+z has an extra y and a missing x, while the other equation y-x has positive y and a negative x, opposite of what we want.
2y+z-(y-x)=2y+z-y+x=y+z+x=11-(5)=6.

It's given:
y – x = 5 ------Eq 1
2y + z = 11 ------Eq 2
Eq2 - Eq 1 , would be the quick solution to get x+y+z
(2y + z) - (y – x ) = 11-5
2y + z -y + x = 6
x +y+ z =6
Option B is the answer.
