I did this by finding the LCM of the 3 numbers and dividing it by 7 to get the number of cycles (weeks) going from mon-sun which came out to 51 with 3 as the remainder. Then got the third day starting from Mon, which is Wed. Is this a correct approach or a silly coincidence?

Scott visits the Church every 5 days, Jeff visits every 24 days, while Marty goes there after every 9 days. If all three of them met at the church last time on a Sunday on what day of the week will all three meet again?

A. Sunday
B. Thursday
C. Wednesday
D. Monday
E. Friday

Well...sritamasia

what is the source of this question??

Question will be clear if it mentions the year also(clearly it will be helpful to find LEAP YEAR)
to find the exact days

Hope u R clear :)

I solved it this way:

LCM of 5, 9 and 24 = 360

Had it been 364 which is a multiple of 7 then they would have met on the same day i.e Sunday. But our actual number is 360 which is 4 less then 364, therefore, they will meet 4 days before Sunday i.e Wednesday (C)

OR

360 when divided by 7 leaves a remainder 3. Therefore they will meet on the third day of the week i.e Wednesday (C)
