30% X+55% y= 100(40%)
Cancel out the 100(percent form)
30 X + 55 Y= 4000
Divide by 5(Reduce the form)
6X + 11 Y= 800
known(X+Y)=100 ie Y=100-X
6X + 11(100-Y)
6X + 1100-11Y=800
-5y=-300
(cancel out the Subtraction sign)by dividing into both sides
Y=60
hence the ans is 60-E

Solution A (30% Chlorine) = x
Solution B (55% Chlorine) = 100-x
Solution C (40% Chlorine) = 100
0.3x + 0.55(100-x) = 0.4*100
0.3x + 55 - 0.55x = 40
0.25x = 15
x = \(\frac{15*100}{25}\) = 60 (E)
Solution B (55% Chlorine) = 100-x
Solution C (40% Chlorine) = 100
0.3x + 0.55(100-x) = 0.4*100
0.3x + 55 - 0.55x = 40
0.25x = 15
x = \(\frac{15*100}{25}\) = 60 (E)
