If the total number of candidates are 100 then :
75 are conservatives and 25 are Non-Conservatives
Out of 75 people 60% voted for A ==> \(\frac{75*60}{100}\)
Lets assume, out of 25 L% voted for A
so total votes that A received is :
\(\frac{(75*60)}{100 } \) + \(\frac{ (25*L)}{100}\)
we know that total votes that a received is 50% (as we have assumed 100 people voted so he/she simply received 50 votes)
equating these 2 we get the percentage of non-conservatives who voted for A
\(\frac{(75*60)}{100 } \) + \(\frac{ (25*L)}{100}\) = 50
L=20
75 are conservatives and 25 are Non-Conservatives
