I hope my reasoning is correct :)

1008 / 4 = 252 => how many days Jake go to the store.
252 % 5 = 2 => the day index of a week

1 = Monday
2 = Tuesday
...

So, correct answer = Tuesday.
Bunuel
Jake buys 4 items each from a grocery store on all weekdays (Monday to Friday) but doesn't buy anything on a weekend. If he starts buying on Monday and buys a total of 1008 items by some day, then what day is that?

A. Monday
B. Tuesday
C. Wednesday
D. Thursday
E. Friday

such a great explanation. thank you :)
divyadna
Jake buys 20 (4*5) items in 1 week. So, he will buy 1000 items in 1000/20= 50 weeks. After 1000 items, the cycle again starts at Monday with Jake buying 4 items and ends on Tuesday when he buys last 4 items.
Answer should be option B IMO

The number pattern is 4,8,12,16,20.

You can see the last digit of all multiples of 4 will repeat continuously. 1008 ends in an 8 so it is second in the sequence and therefore will be Tuesday.

Answer is Tuesday
