If \(\frac{2.25*10^a}{0.15*10^b}= 1.5 *10^3\), then a – b =

A. 1
B. 2
C. 3
D. 4
E. 5

\(\frac{2.25*10^a}{0.15*10^b}= 1.5 *10^3\)
\(\frac{225*10^a}{15*10^b}= 1.5 *10^3\)  (In LHS, multiplying numerator and denominator by 100)
\(\frac{45*10^a}{3*10^b}= 1.5 *1000\)
\(15*10^{a-b}= 15 *100\)
\(10^{a-b}= 10^2\)
Hence a-b=2

OA: B) 2
