Profit = Revenue - Cost
She sells the bags for 25% more than their cost so
Profit = 0,25*Cost = 4000*4*25/(10*100)
Profit = 400 dollars

Answer A
Although I think this is the overall profit not the profit per bag.

Bianca bought bags in Italy at 60% discount, so Bianca’s CP= 0.40*4000= 1600
Bianca sells the bag 25% higher than what she paid, so SP= 1.25*1600= 2000
Profit= SP-CP= 2000-1600= 400$

Answer: A

Whenever Bianca travels to Italy, she brings back Gucci bags to sell to her friends. The bags she buys in Italy are purchased at a 60 percent discount off American prices. She sells the bags to her friends at a price 25 percent higher than what she paid for them. After one trip, she sells bags to her friends that would have cost $4,000 in American stores. What is Bianca’s profit per bag?

Buying price of Bianca at 60% discount, (4000 x 40)/100=1600
She made a profit of 25% on buying price, (1600 x 25)/100=400

Answer: A.
