Whereever you can convert % to numbers do it..
If distance covered in second leg be 100miles, then that in first leg is 180miles.
Let speed in first leg be xmph, so that in second leg will be 0.8x mph.

Time in first leg = 180/x = 3 or x =60mph
Time in second leg = 100/0.8*60 = 100/48 = 25/12 = 125/60.
Thus 125 minutes or 2 hour 5 minutes.

Loreto’s recent trip had two legs: the first on a divided highway and the second on a two-lane road. The distance she traveled on the first leg was 80% greater than the distance she traveled on the second, but her average speed on the second leg was 20% lower her average speed on the first. If the first leg took 3 hours, how long did the second leg take?

(A) 1 hour and 48 minutes
(B) 2 hours
(C) 2 hours and 5 minutes
(D) 2 hours and 24 minutes
(E) 2 hours and 30 minutes

Given
Let x be the distance and y be the speed
X=3y/1.8

Now, required time = 3y/1.8/0.8y = 100/48 hrs or 100/48*60 mins
= 225 mins
= 2 hrs and 5 mins
